ARTIST STATEMENT

"My Life as a Comic Stripper" is in investigation into sex positive feminism, in which I worked as an exotic dancer to uncover answers to the common questions of whether this type of entertainment is empowerment or exploitation? I created several archetypes that embody the ironic spirit of the women that worked in this field of work as well as the rewards and consequences of such work.
